The Competition is open to planning/design institutions and industry planning institutions around the world. The institutions can register independently or form an alliance with another institution in “1+1 model”. The participants must have the expertise in spatial planning and design and industry planning.
To sign up, applicants are required to submit a portfolio of 3 to 5 reference projects that combine the urban design with the industry planning to the email box of the Organizing Committee. The submitted information should be true and valid, otherwise the Organizing Committee shall be entitled to disqualify the applicant from the Competition.
The team shall have the expertise in the following aspects, namely regional development background and policy researches, site condition analysis, international case study and summary, forward-looking overall regional development positioning and strategy making, regional image positioning, land use layout and spatial design.
The team shall have the expertise in the following aspects, namely analysis and assessment of existing industries in the region and the peripheral areas, studies on macro background and industrial development conditions, analysis of existing demographic structure and future population introduction, making of population introduction strategy, overall industry positioning and strategy making, products planning, operation model planning, investment and revenue evaluation.
Jizhou District is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Tianjin. Located in the center of Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan-Chengde region and the Beijing-Tangshan-Qinhuangdao Development Axis, Jizhou District enjoys favorable geographical and ecological conditions along with a rich historical heritage where time-honored relics can be found all over the district, among which there is a thousand-year-old temple under national key protection called Dule Temple. Located in the south of Jizhou downtown, Jizhou Station is a medium-city railway comprehensive passenger transportation hub integrating high-speed railway, intercity railway, common railway and urban express railway. Upon completion, this station will quickly merge Jizhou District into the 0.5-hour Beijing-Tianjin commuter circle, 1-hour Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan-Chengde travel circle and 2-hour business travel circle. The long-term annual passenger traffic is expected to be about 10 million.
